BlackRock, Vanguard & Other Major Fund Managers
On May 9th, Sturm Ruger, the country’s largest gun manufacturer, will hold its annual shareholder meeting. One Ruger board member, Sandra Froman, is a long-time NRA leader who is openly hostile to any efforts to reform the gun industry and has attacked gun companies that have attempted change.
Froman and the NRA are clearly a major influence on Sturm Ruger’s decision NOT to follow the lead of other large retailers and banks supporting common-sense gun reforms. And it just came out that Froman worked to push the idea of Black inferiority in academia, helping the infamous William Shockley develop arguments that were then used to advocate for sterilization of Black women. She has also served as a director at a secret extremist group, that features a who's who of influential right-wing zealots, a fact that wasn't disclosed by Ruger to shareholders. This cannot stand.

We are calling on you to vote against Froman staying on the board of Sturm, Ruger & Co.
