In an interview with CNBC, Donald Trump just said that he plans to cut our earned benefits “toward the end of the year.”
Trump’s announcement should come as no surprise. After running in 2016 on a pledge to protect Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, Trump quickly ditched that promise by introducing federal budgets that would cut trillions of dollars from our earned benefits and other critical services.
And, ever since he signed his tax scam into law, he and congressional Republicans have used their self-created budget deficit to attempt to cut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and so much more, just to pay for their tax cuts for the rich and corporations.
