Every decade, states must redraw voting district lines based on population shifts. This should be done in a fair, nonpartisan way but we have gerrymandered districts drawn to heavily favor incumbent power.

The will of the people leans Democratic, but Republicans have kept themselves in power by gerrymandering districts. By creating more equitable voting districts Democrats will come out on top.
