House & Senate Intelligence Committees

Donald Trump Junior has admitted that he met in June 2016 with a Russian lawyer with Kremlin ties. He agreed to the meeting at Trump Tower, because she promised damaging information on Hillary Clinton.

The meeting was important enough that he brought in Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, and Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner. Besides hearing about what intelligence the Russians had that could help Trump, they discussed economic sanctions on Russia.

This directly contradicts statements that Trump Junior (and other campaign officials) had been making for months, when they repeatedly denied any communication between Trump and the Russians.

Rep. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, wants Trump Junior to testify at a public hearing about this meeting—as well as Kushner and Manafort.
