Sign the petition: NO charges for protestors with disabilities fighting for health care!

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell & Department of Justice

On Thursday, June 22, Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell finally revealed the draft for the health care reform bill. Secretly crafted by 13 Republican men behind closed doors, it proposes devastating rollbacks in health care for the most vulnerable Americans—especially people with disabilities.

In response, Americans with disabilities protested McConnell's proposed deep cuts to Medicaid, which is crucial for people in their community. Almost 13 million non-elderly people with disabilities get the health care coverage through the program, which covers about half of Americans under 65 with disabilities.

Sen. McConnell never addressed them or their concerns. Capitol Police arrested protestors, literally dragging them away.

Show your support for these brave Americans and sign the petition to Sen. McConnell and the Department of Justice demanding that these peaceful protesters not face charges.
