White House Chief of Staff John Kelly

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly did not resign when he blamed the Civil War on "lack of compromise" and praised Confederate general Robert E. Lee.

He did not resign when he said many immigrant youth didn't become Dreamers because they were "too lazy to get off their asses."

And now Kelly's top secretary, Rob Porter, has resigned for multiple cases of domestic violence. Kelly says he is "shocked," but there is ample proof that he'd known about it for a long time -- including times when he gave Porter increased security access.
