Sign the petition: States must resist Trump's outrageous War on Voting

Election officials in all 50 states

In an outrageous step towards voter suppression, President Trump's “election integrity commission” (led by Kris Kobach) has demanded that every state provide detailed information on every registered voter.

They want each voter's name, address, birthday, political party, the last four digits of their Social Security number, voter history since 2006, information about military service or felony convictions, whether you’re registered in any other states, and overseas citizen status.

This is nothing short of voter harassment and intimidation, designed to suppress the vote. It is taking the Republican War on Voting to a whole new level, and states must refuse to comply.

As Kansas Secretary of State, Kris Kobach ran a vicious voter suppression effort—where one out of every seven new Kansas voters was illegally disenfranchised. He has advocated for other states to adopt a national registration-matching system that experts say could disenfranchise 200 valid voters for every outdated registration it removes.

Several states have refused to cooperate, but many have said they will comply—to the extent that they can under state law. We must pressure election officials in all 50 states to do so.
