If allowed to be built, the Keystone XL pipeline would carry the Canadian tar sands some of the dirtiest oil in the world across the continental United States.

It would further big fossil fuel interests and encourage the continuing ravages of carbon pollution while creating few meaningful jobs in the United States. We must move forward with policies to support the development of clean energy instead of backwards by encouraging the use of fossil fuels which degrade our environment.
