Sign the petition: Stop the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s and the biggest corporations from lobbying against the distribution of critically-need COVID medical supplies via the Defense Production Act.

U.S. Chamber of Commerce and CEOs of 3M, Honeywell, FedEx, Amazon, U.S. Bank

The current COVID-19 outbreak calls on each of us to go all-in for each other. As individuals we all wash our hands, avoid unnecessary travel, and check in on family, friends, and neighbors.

Some of the largest, most profitable corporations, however, are putting policy and profits ahead of public health -- lobbying the federal government to prevent the full use of the Defense Production Act, a vital tool that would allow our country to manufacture N-95 masks, ventilators, and supplies needed to confront the pandemic.

The Defense Policy Act is a critical policy to allow the central coordination and distribution of critical supplies.

It is unconscionable that when lives are on the line and doctors, nurses, and essential workers need supplies to protect themselves, their families, and their communities, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the billionaire corporations it represents are lobbying against the Defense Production Act forcing states, cities, and hospitals to compete for life-saving materials.

Sign the petition to the CEOS of 3M, Honeywell, FedEx, Amazon, and U.S. Bank, companies in the leadership of the the U.S. Chamber of Commerce: Immediately stop lobbying against the full use of the Defense Production Act and produce the equipment that will protect everyone’s health and save lives.
