Sign the petition: Support Sally Yates, Reject Jeff Sessions

U.S. Senate

On January 30, President Trump fired acting Attorney General Sally Yates—because she refused to defend his racist and unconstitutional Muslim travel ban.

The last time a President removed an Attorney General like this was Richard Nixon during Watergate.

"That statement [by Sally Yates] took guts. That is what an attorney general must be willing and able to do. I have no confidence that Senator Sessions will do that.” -- Sen. Dianne Feinstein

A good Attorney General must be willing to say "no" to the President, and not risk losing their job.

Senator Jeff Sessions is a Trump loyalist who strongly supports the unconstitutional Muslim travel ban, and will only encourage him to more dangerous moves in the future.

In light of Donald Trump's Nixonian behavior, any Senator who votes to confirm Sessions is complicit in violating the Constitution. Sign the petition: Reject Jeff Sessions as Attorney General.

I support Sally Yates, and am terrified that Jeff Sessions could be the next Attorney General. He would not stand up and say "no" to Donald Trump's racist and unconstitutional actions.
