With talk of impeachment now mainstream, Republicans want to have it both ways.

They claim to be "troubled" about the Comey scandal, but have dragged their feet on taking any action that could truly hold the President accountable.

House Speaker Paul Ryan even advised his Republican colleagues: "there are some people out there who want to harm the president."

Donald Trump's behavior is reckless, dangerous and was entirely predictable before the election. But Republican leaders enabled his rise to power, and have been perfectly happy to keep him there so they can push their extreme agenda of tax cuts for the rich and privatizing Medicare.
