Donald Trump Jr. testified to the GOP-controlled Senate Judiciary Committee in September 2017 about the infamous meeting he had at Trump Tower with a Russian operative.

At the time, Junior said the meeting was "primarily focused on Russian adoptions." He was also informed by the committee that giving false information to the committee could make him subject to criminal prosecution and imprisonment for up to five years.

Now, his dad has tweeted that the meeting was to "get information on an opponent."

Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee must stop abetting law breaking. Donald Trump Junior lied to them, and they must hold him accountable.
