Congress tried to put a stop to the US’ role in the war in Yemen by passing a War Powers Resolution. But Trump vetoed it. That’s why pulling out of the war in Yemen is just a first step. Congress needs to re-introduce the War Powers Resolution under a Biden administration, and President-elect Biden needs to pledge to sign it.

Under the Biden administration, the US’ role in pushing millions of people in Yemen to the brink of starvation and death can end in mere seconds. Biden has said he’s willingly to pull US support for the war, but we can’t afford for him to wait weeks or even months down the line.
