Stand with your Essential Employees!

Long Beach School Board Members: Diana Craighead, Megan Kerr, Juan Benitez, Erik Miller and Douglas Otto

As essential workers we, the classified staff at Long Beach Unified School District are committed to providing vital services during the pandemic. We have provided healthy meals and instructional materials along with a clean and safe school environment for our returning teachers, staff, and students. We have risked our health and safety daily to provide these essential services.

During this time, the District has received additional funding from the state of California to help mitigate the impact of the pandemic on students, teachers, and staff.  In addition, the District has managed to accumulate over $312 million in surplus and reserves. Meanwhile, the District has refused the CSEA's proposal for fair and just compensation.

We the classified staff and community stand with our Union and the right to fair and just compensation. Now we are asking the District to honor our work by agreeing to our simple 7 cents on the dollar increase. Thereby allowing us to afford to live with our families in the community of Long Beach and surrounding communities.

Sign this Petition to support CSEA’s most recent salary proposal as a fair and just 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 compensation package for the District's classified staff.

Our signature goal is to obtain 2,000 signatures!!
