We call on the governments of Uganda and Tanzania, Total Energies, and the China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) to halt the East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project.

The EACOP threatens forests, waterways, wildlife, and the livelihoods of millions of people. It increases greenhouse gas emissions, contributes to climate change, and endangers local communities by causing displacement and environmental pollution.

We are convinced that Africa's future must be based on clean energy, sustainable development, and respect for human rights -not in projects that endanger people and the planet.

We urge decision makers to:

End the EACOP project.
Protect communities, wildlife, and water resources .
Invest in renewable energy and sustainable economic opportunities. Respect the rights and voices of affected communities.
