We the people of Missouri do not support data centers until our elected representatives have put in place common sense safeguards to protect our water, farmland, local economies, jobs, utility costs and other potential impacts on our communities. In order to ensure that future data centers would be in the best interest of our communities, we demand a moratorium in order to allow for a thorough evaluation of the economic, social, and environmental consequences of hyperscale data centers, and until proper protections have been established, before allowing their construction or the granting of any tax breaks.
