Dear President Kaler,

As a student who works at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, I am deeply concerned with the low wages student workers receive on campus. The costs of tuition and housing are constantly rising, and student wages have not kept up. This has placed an undue financial burden on students who struggle to pay for housing and groceries each month.

Student workers support the University through both tuition and labor, and we need a raise. With thousands of student workers on this campus, we know that increasing the wage will make this University more accessible to low-income students and other students who need to work their way through college.

We call on you to raise the minimum wage on campus to $15 an hour!
