We, your customers of King Soopers, City Market, Albertson's and Safeway, are asking for King Soopers and Safeway to do the right thing and take care of your grocery workers, who have worked tirelessly through this pandemic. We will support them by not crossing a picket line, should one be established at our local grocery store.

Your companies have generated billions in profit during the pandemic. While your corporate executives stayed home, essential grocery workers showed up every day to make sure our communities could put food on the table.

You have proposed to take away overtime protections, slash sick pay during a global pandemic, and replace jobs providing quality healthcare to Coloradoans with gig workers. If you think our community will not stand up and support workers in a labor dispute, you are very wrong.

Workers are asking for a safe place to work and armed security guards to safeguard workers and customers. They need a wage that allows them to afford to live in our communities they serve, and a contract that protects their affordable healthcare and secure pension benefits. Grocery workers want full-time jobs without the fear of having their jobs outsourced.

We have the backs of our friends and neighbors who work at your stores and if the workers go out on strike, we will support them by not crossing their picket line and taking our business elsewhere.
