I am strongly in support of bringing 329 new homes - 49 of which would be subsidized affordable homes - to 555 West Middlefield Road in Mountain View.
These well-designed, well-located, environmentally-friendly homes will add much-needed high density, transit-oriented residences to help alleviate our region’s housing shortage. Some of their many highlights include:
- Well-located near a number of major job centers, and within a half mile of downtown Mountain View and the Mountain View Caltrain/VTA Station. Increasing density in a job and transit-rich location will naturally increase the use of public transportation and shorten commute times.
- LEED Gold certification and all-electric buildings.
- 1.34 acres of public open space as well as a new pedestrian and bicycle path connecting West Middlefield Road and Cypress Point Drive.
