Support the state workers who support us!

West Virginia legislators

Teachers, social workers, firefighters, police officers, and the state employees who teach our children, maintain safety in our communities, and keep our state humming are getting shortchanged by the West Virginia Legislature.

Lawmakers' priorities are out of touch with our values. Public employees are fighting back and they need to know that West Virginians are standing with them.

Tell them -- and our elected officials -- that West Virginians value our public servants and support higher wages and better benefits for the people who make our state run.

I value our public servants. That's why I support higher wages and better benefits for the people who make our state run.

The education employees, social workers, firefighters, law enforcement officers, and state employees who care for our children, maintain safety in our communities, and keep our state humming need meaningful raises, lower insurance premiums, and respect.

Healthcare costs are going up for everyone. While we work toward a universal system, we stand with public employees who are fighting for affordable healthcare. Instead of supporting big business and the extraction industries that ship profits out of West Virginia with hundreds of millions in inventory and property tax cuts, we should be boosting up our dedicated public employees.

It's past time to fix PEIA and give public workers the pay and respect they deserve.
