Youth Pride Inc. is a vital nonprofit that has been serving the local Rhode Island LGBTQ+ community for over 30 years. Recently, its frontline staff voted to form a union with SEIU 1199 NE to strengthen their voices for their clients and themselves. But since then, YPI administrators have undertaken hurtful and retaliatory behavior toward staff that has impacted the organization, its staff and youth. Sign our petition to call on the Board of Directors to support YPI Union workers and create a better organization for all.

Youth Pride Inc. is a vital nonprofit that has been serving the local Rhode Island LGBTQ+ community for over 30 years. The community relies on Youth Pride for lifesaving resources and support, and the staff are committed to the mission, values, and the youth that Youth Pride Inc. serves.
We, the undersigned have serious concerns about the turbulent behavior by the Youth Pride Inc. management and the impact it has had on youth and staff. Management has taken several actions that have impaired the function of the non-profit and which directly oppose the mission and values of the organization.
My signature is my vote of no-confidence in the management of Youth Pride and my call for the Youth Pride Inc. Board of Directors to intervene and 1) resolve all unfair labor practices, 2) ensure working conditions are supportive, respectful and free from harassment and hostility, and 3) partner with employees to provide life-saving care for the youth and young adults served.
It is only through mutual respect and understanding that Youth Pride, Inc. can grow to realize its full potential in the vital work it offers the community.
