Boycott Pledge!: Hex&Co, The Brooklyn Strategist, and The Uncommons

Jon Freeman and Gregory May—Owners of Hex&Co, The Brooklyn Strategist, and The Uncommons

The members of Tabletop Workers United have been fighting for a union contract since they unionized in late 2023. The bargaining team reports that ownership has strayed from their expressed goal of achieving a fair and equitable agreement with their union.

Let the employer know that they are making a choice.

Sign now to pledge to boycott Hex&Co, The Brooklyn Strategist, and The Uncommons if Greg May and Jon Freeman continue to delay and deny making reasonable agreements with Tabletop Workers United.

IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS IS NOT A CALL TO BOYCOTT TODAY—the Tabletop Solidarity Committee will make a clear call to boycott if it becomes necessary in the future.

We, the undersigned customers and community members of Hex&Co, The Brooklyn Strategist, and The Uncommons, pledge to boycott your businesses if and when Tabletop Workers United members inform us that you continue to thwart progress in bargaining.

We proudly and staunchly stand in support of the baristas, dungeon masters, after school counselors, coordinators, shift leads, and all other members of the union; they are what make these stores unique and welcoming havens that we return to again and again. We stand ready to boycott if ownership does not meet their reasonable bargaining demands, such as respect and dignity in the workplace and fair pay.

These stores are community spaces, and the power of our community is organizing for justice. As customers, our time and money, combined with the labor of your excellent staff, enable the profitability of your businesses. We are prepared to leverage our collective power in support of the workers and ensure that these spaces continue to uphold the values we want our community to embody: safety, respect, equity, and justice.
