Horrifying images released several weeks ago showed Customs and Border Patrol on horseback and brandishing whips, mistreating Haitian families seeking asylum. Since then, thousands have been immediately detained and deported without due process. These cruel actions are a result of the Biden Administration’s choice to defend the Trump-era Title 42 policy, which enables mass deportations at the border during COVID-19.
