Tell Congress: Health care is a human right!

U.S. Congress

Paul Ryan and Congressional Republicans just released their plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act – and it’s even worse than we thought.

It would eliminate subsidies that make insurance more affordable for low-income families and replaces them with “health-care savings accounts” where people have to set aside their own money, out-of-pocket, to pay for expensive medical costs. And it would severely cut Medicaid, pulling the rug out from under millions of poor and middle-class people who are covered under the program.

Here’s what Donald Trump, Paul Ryan and Republicans in Congress aren't counting on: The tens of thousands of people across the country who are calling, writing, attending meetings and organizing to fight for health care for all. And we won’t stop.

No one should have to go without the care they need, just because they can't afford it.

But the plan just released by Congressional Republicans would do just that by severely cutting Medicaid and taking away subsidies that let low-income families access health care.

The GOP plan is just another way to give tax breaks to and boost profits for billionaire CEOs at the expense of working people across this country.

But I'm joining thousands of people in fighting back and protecting the Affordable Care Act, because health care is a human right!
