Tell Congress: No tax breaks for Trump

Congress

Donald Trump just released his proposed tax reform plan, and it's as bad as we expected.

Massive tax breaks for the rich and corporations. A complete betrayal of his working class voters. And a huge benefit to himself and his family.

Our message to Trump: Until you release your taxes, Congress shouldn't even consider any tax reforms you propose.

Here's what we know about Trump's tax plan:

[bullets here when we have them]

Which of these proposals benefit Trump and his family most? We can probably guess, but we shouldn't have to.

This is a fundamental question of trust in government. No president in 40 years has refused to disclose his tax returns, and this is one of the reasons why. So we can know whether he's making policy to benefit himself at the expense of the American people.

Several Republicans have already said they think Trump should release his tax returns, but this is where the rubber hits the road.

Refuse to consider Trump’s tax cuts for the rich until we can see his taxes and understand how he’ll personally benefit.
