Tell the Senate Not to Take Away Health Benefits from Millions of Americans

Members of the U.S. Senate

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and other Republican extremists in Congress passed a new, damaging health care bill. It doesn’t only strip health care from about 24 million people, raise premiums for millions by 20% and give a tax break to the super-rich, while taxing workplace health benefits of working people. It now has new language that guts protections for people with pre-existing conditions. This horrible new addition will allow insurance companies to charge people with cancer, diabetes and other illnesses tens of thousands of dollars more for care they need to survive.

The U.S. Senate is set to consider this bill. We need to tell senators that this is the wrong thing to do for families who will be left without access to the doctors and medicine they’ve come to rely on since the Affordable Care Act passed.

Sign the petition now to tell the U.S. Senate to oppose the new Republican plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

You must oppose the new bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act. This bill would be a disaster for working people like me. It would gut protections for people with pre-existing conditions, take away health care from tens of millions of people, raise health care costs for millions more, decimate Medicaid and give a huge tax break to the super-rich and corporate CEOs, while taxing workplace health benefits. We need a health care plan that expands coverage for everyone, not one that cuts it. Please oppose this bill.
