On May 3, 2020 on Fox News President Trump said he would block any more coronavirus relief unless Congress supports a cut in the payroll tax which funds SOCIAL SECURITY.
There will never be a good time to cut Social Security funding, but right now it would be ludicrous. Social Security puts more than $800 billion into the economy each year and we need it to get our economy back on track.
Millions of seniors rely on the benefits they’ve earned over a lifetime of work. Congress must refuse to make such a dangerous deal if they care about older Americans.
