Tell Congress to Raise Wages for Working People

Members of the U.S. House and Senate

It’s pretty basic. People who work for a living ought to make a good living, so they can support their families. That’s not the case, though, for 90% of Americans whose wages are lower today than they were in 1997. The system is rigged against working people, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

Congress needs to stop holding up votes on legislation to raise wages, like bills to raise the minimum wage and give equal pay to women.

Some 90% of working people make less today than they did in 1997. This has to change. Support efforts like increasing the minimum wage and equal pay for women that would raise wages for working families.
