LCV SUPPORTS FRACKERS OVER CLIMATE CHAMPIONS

League of Conservation Voters

The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) gave Bernie Sanders a score of 6% in their 2016 National Environmental Scorecard. To put that into perspective, lawmakers who promote fracking scored higher than a proven climate and environmental champion. This is not surprising for LCV, who endorsed Secretary Clinton and other pro-fracking candidates in 2016. The reason for Bernie's low score is simple, LCV's Board of Directors include pro-fracking members who held high positions in the Clinton campaign, and they are taking out their anger on him. Tell LCV to stop playing politics and attacking pro-environment lawmakers who consistently elevate climate change and environmental justice as national issues.

To Whom it May Concern:

I was very troubled to learn that you gave Senator Bernie Sanders a score of 6% in your 2016 Environmental Scorecard. Sen. Sanders has proven himself time and time again to be a fierce fighter for environmental protection, addressing climate change and bringing attention to environmental racism and the continued assault against and disrespect of Native Americans.

We the undersigned therefore demand:

- You adjust Sen. Sanders' score to "N/A.," to reflect his historic Presidential Campaign;

-Dismiss any member of your Board of Directors who is known to collude with, do business with or otherwise take part in financial or other transactions that promote fracking; and

- Stop endorsing candidates who support fracking and take money from the fracking industry.

Failure to do so will force us to consider whether to continue a relationship with the League of Conservation Voters, including our yearly/monthly donations.

Thank You,
