Congressman Jim Cooper (D-TN) is pushing a bill that will make some bad changes to the new overtime rule for working people.
This bill would delay the start of the new rule and would throw out language that would keep these overtime protections from falling behind as inflation rises. This is one of the major reasons we needed to have this rule passed in the first place, but now Cooper wants to remove this important fix. We cannot afford to let anyone take this victory from working families.
