Tell the CA legislature -- we need to build more homes!
CA Legislature
Every person, regardless of their life circumstances or background, has a:
- Right to Housing: a safe home that meets their needs.
- Right to Opportunity: high-quality jobs, services, schools, and other public resources close to home.
- Right to Affordability: a home that costs no more than 25% of their income
To make this real, we need housing abundance.
We vetted all 220 housing bills in California. These are the top bills that will make the most impact on housing affordability and availability. These bills:
- Make it easier to build multifamily homes near transit
- Provide money for affordable housing
- Close loopholes that allow cities to block new homes
Add your name now to tell California legislators that we want more housing in our communities! Plus you'll get updates on the most important advocacy opportunities. Let's make housing affordable and accessible for everyone!

I'm writing in support of SB 79, SB 677, SB 607, AB 609, AB 610, AB 818, SB 417, and AB 736.
Why? Because we need abundant homes.
When there is abundant housing, renters and buyers will have more negotiating power to advocate for lower prices and more amenities. This means people will be able to shop around and buy or rent a home that meets their needs.
When there is abundant housing, people will be able to choose the type of home that’s right for them and their families instead of feeling stuck because there aren’t any available homes. People will also have more choices as to which neighborhood they live in.
When there is abundant housing, people will be able to live close to their jobs and other amenities which will lower transportation costs (not to mention air pollution!) that many people face from having to live dozens of miles away from the things they need. That means fewer super-commuters and more walkable neighborhoods.
I urge you to pass policies that will make it faster and easier to build new homes. We need them, and we need them now!
