Tell the #Exxon11: We Want Answers

Senators Shelley Moore Capito, John Cornyn, Steve Daines, Marco Rubio, John Barrasso, Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, Jon Tester, Chris Coons, Mark Kelly, and Maggie Hassan

ExxonMobil has lied for decades to cover up its role in creating the climate crisis – and yet Congress remains cozy with the oil and gas giant. An Exxon lobbyist was recently caught explaining how they've lobbied to keep climate action out of the major infrastructure package, and named eleven Senators who he says are "crucial" to their efforts.

We want the #Exxon11 to explain what the hell they’re doing and to sign the #NoFossilFuelMoneyPledge now. That means explaining why they’ve been named, coming clean about how often they talk to Exxon, and disclosing how much the bipartisan infrastructure framework represents Exxon’s interests.

We need answers. Sign the petition.

Last week, you were named by a senior ExxonMobil lobbyist as one of the 11 senators who he says are “critical” to their efforts to undermine federal climate action. As deadly heatwaves, worsening hurricanes, and catastrophic wildfires become our new normal, Americans are no longer interested in leaders who buddy up to the oil and gas industry. I demand a public explanation of your association with Exxon, and strongly urge you to sign the No Fossil Fuel Money Pledge now.
