Tell the FCC: Don’t Kill Good Telecom Jobs

Just last week CenturyLink announced they would be cutting 3,500 jobs, and a proposal under consideration at the Federal Communications Commission could make things even worse for telecom workers.
Non-union wireless companies like Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless want the FCC to make big cuts in the rates they are charged to connect cell phone towers to high-capacity data networks. Reduced revenue would make it more difficult for telecom companies to invest in broadband networks, leading to job cuts for CWA members, especially in rural areas.
