Sign the Petition: Raise the Minimum Wage!

Gov. Kelly, Speaker Ryckman, Senate President Wagle

Kansas' minimum wage remains at the federal minimum level of $7.25/hour - far too little to allow people to rent an apartment, let alone raise a family in sufficiency. Surrounding states, including Missouri, Iowa, and Nebraska, have raised their wage and it's time for Kansas to do the same! Sign the petition to ask Gov. Kelly and state legislature to raise the minimum wage to $13. It's the right thing to do!

People of faith and conscience believe that all of us benefit when those who receive the least for their hard work are better rewarded for their labor and can more fully contribute to the life we share as a state and a nation. We urge Gov. Kelly and the Kansas legislature to enact legislation that will lift working families out of poverty and give all workers access to the economic blessings we enjoy as a nation. Increasing Kansas' minimum wage to $13 per hour is an important step in ensuring meaningful progress in reducing poverty. We urge you to support increasing the state minimum wage today.
