Tell the Senate: Don't Take Away Our Health Care

United States Senate

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and other Republican extremists in Congress recently passed a new, damaging health care bill. It will strip health care from up to 23 million people, raise insurance premiums by as much as 20% and give a tax break to the super-rich, while taxing workplace health benefits of working people. It has language that weakens protections for people with pre-existing conditions. This horrible addition could allow insurance companies to charge people with cancer, diabetes and other illnesses much more for care they need to survive.

The U.S. Senate is set to consider health care soon. We need to tell them to protect the coverage that families have come to rely on since the Affordable Care Act passed.

Sign the petition now to tell the U.S. Senate not to gut our health care!

You must oppose efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act and gut our health care. Repealing the ACA would be a disaster for working people like me. The bill that passed the House would eliminate protections for people with pre-existing conditions, take away health care from tens of millions of people, raise health care costs for millions more, decimate Medicaid and give a huge tax break to the super-rich and corporate CEOs, while taxing workplace health benefits. We need a health care plan that expands coverage for everyone, not one that cuts it. Please don’t gut our health care.
