Tell The Young Turks to recognize their crew's Union!

Cenk Uygur, Founder of The Young Turks

A majority of us on The Young Turks' production and post-production employees have voted to form a union by signing union authorization cards. On February 12, we officially requested that the company recognize our decision to go union. Rather than living up to the network's progressive values and honoring our choice, Cenk Uygur and The Young Turks, Inc. are fighting against us with age-old union-busting tactics, including:

  1. Attempting to force a do-over election on the company's terms.
  2. Holding a tense "captive audience" meeting and pressuring us not to support a union.
  3. Firing a union supporter for "creating a hostile work environment."

We love this company and its mission of providing a platform for progressive voices. It's why we work here. But we think TYT should live by its principles. Join us in demanding an end to this senseless union-busting campaign!

Dear Mr. Uygur and Executives of The Young Turks,

Production and post-production workers at TYT voted to form a union by card authorization vote. We stand with the TYT crew.

Union-busting has no place in the "home of progressives." We call on you to undo your retaliatory actions, grant card check, and recognize the TYT crew's union.
