Tell University Administrators to Stop Their Anti-Union Campaign

Administrators from Columbia, Harvard, the New School and Other Prestigious Universities

Research assistants (RAs) and teaching assistants (TAs) at universities across the country—who face huge workloads, low pay and insecure health care—are coming together in union to create a better workplace.

Momentum is on their side. A recent National Labor Relations Board decision restored the rights of research and teaching assistants at private universities to organize. But administrators at Columbia, Harvard, the New School and other prestigious private universities are running a nasty campaign to get RAs and TAs to vote against forming a union.

Sign the petition to tell university administrators to end their anti-union campaign and respect the right of RAs and TAs to stand together in union and negotiate collectively for better pay and benefits and improved workplace conditions.

We, the undersigned, applaud the recent decision by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) restoring the right of research and teaching assistants to form unions and engage in collective bargaining and urge university administrators to stop these efforts to get research assistants and teaching assistants to vote against unionization.
