Tell Your Senators To Side With Consumers Not Corporate Giants

U.S. Senate

Sign this petition to preserve your right to fight back when you've been cheated out of money.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has passed a rule that would preserve consumers right to participate in class action cases against companies, and the Senate might destroy it soon.

The Senate is poised to vote on the repeal of the CFPB rule, and we need to let them know that is not what the people want.

Companies have found a way to save money by writing agreements that make it impossible for a person to fight back when the company cheats them or does something wrong. Forced arbitration and class action waivers prevent people from seeking justice because the amount they've lost simply isn't large enough to justify the high cost of arbitration. Anyone can be affected: if you were an account holder at Wells Fargo, or if your information was compromised by the Equifax breach, don't you want to hold them accountable?

Sign this petition to let your Senators know that consumers deserve the right to seek justice when they've been taken advantage of or wronged.

Consumers like me already face a stacked deck when we try to hold financial giants like Equifax or Wells Fargo accountable for their actions. But now Congress is moving to take away our right to join together to challenge them in court. I support the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's arbitration rule, which restores our legal rights and makes our financial system stronger and safer.

Our Senators should stand with consumers like me, NOT financial giants trying to get away with widespread harm. Please vote NO on S.J. Res. 47.
