Tell Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut to Support Paid Leave For All!

Greg Creed, Yum Brands CEO

Recently, Yum Brands—the parent company of Taco Bell, KFC, and Pizza Hut—announced a new policy providing 18 weeks of paid leave to new mothers and eight weeks of paid leave to new fathers.

But Yum Brands only extended the new family-friendly benefits to people working at their corporate headquarters. The fast-food giant deliberately excluded the hundreds of thousands of employees who make it so successful. We can’t stomach the news that the corporation left the people who serve their tacos, fry their chicken, and bake their pizzas behind. Paid leave isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity.

Tell Yum Brands to expand their new paid leave policy to everyone who works at KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut.

You can be an exceptional leader in the restaurant industry. However, it’s not enough to extend paid parental leave to your corporate workforce. Too many people have to choose between their jobs and their families when a baby is born. To send a message that you value everyone who makes your company successful, grant everyone who works at Yum Brands restaurants, including Taco Bell, KFC, and Pizza Hut paid time off to take care of a newborn or newly-adopted child.
