Last summer, the independent Board of ice cream maker Ben & Jerry’s announced its decision to end business with Israeli settlements on occupied Palestinian land because selling there was “inconsistent” with the company’s social values. Colonial settlements amount to a war crime under international law.

Then last June, Unilever, the corporate owner of Ben & Jerry's, succumbed to pressure from the Israeli government and anti-Palestinian organizations, announcing that it had sold its Ben & Jerry’s business interests in Israel to the Israeli licensee. This licensee will continue to locally produce and sell Ben & Jerry’s ice cream despite the clear desire of Ben & Jerry's board to stop profiting from human rights violations.

But Ben & Jerry's is fighting this overreach by Unilever and has filed a lawsuit in federal court to block this sale.

Unilever is betraying Ben & Jerry's clear, moral position to pull its business out of Israeli settlements on stolen Palestinian land.

Join us to tell Unilever that we stand behind Ben & Jerry’s decision to end its business in Israel’s illegal settlements as part of the company’s universal commitment to social justice.

Help contribute by taking this small step today.

As a believer in collective liberation and the urgent need to create a better world, I support the decision by Ben & Jerry's to end sales of its ice cream in Israeli settlements built on stolen Palestinian land.

I am outraged that Unilever unilaterally sold a license to an Israeli distributor allowing Ben & Jerry's products to continue to be sold in the illegal settlements, which constitutes a war crime under international law. Unilever is betraying the social justice values of Ben & Jerry's and the internationally recognized rights of the Palestinian people.

Unilever's decision to undermine Ben & Jerry's independent board’s commitment to social justice and control over the company’s moral direction is shameful.

I add my name to the thousands of Ben & Jerry's consumers around the world that applaud Ben & Jerry's commitment to justice for all, including Palestinians.
