New Mexico Senators Who Voted to Oppose Right to Work

Extremist legislators in Santa Fe, funded by out-of-state billionaires and corporate interests, have been trying to pass a dangerous and unnecessary “right to work” bill. But, earlier this month, a majority of senators on the Senate Public Affairs Committee voted to table the bill.

The lawmakers who want to make New Mexico a right to work state aren’t going to give up, though, so we need to make sure that the legislators who’ve stood with us know that we’ve got their backs.

Thank you for standing with working people in New Mexico and voting to table right to work earlier this month. Your vote was really important for our communities because right to work would have really bad consequences for us all. It would lower wages, cut benefits and make our workplaces less safe.

I’m hearing that right to work could be brought up again next year and I’m glad to know that we’ll have your support in stopping it again.
