Thank You Arizona State Representative Alma Hernandez (D) For Pushing For Bipartisanship In The Fight Against Antisemitism.
Representative Alma Hernandez

Democratic Arizona State Representative Hernandez has been a strong advocate for Israel and against antisemitism. Recently, she condemned the Senate Judiciary Committee’s public support for anti-Israel activist Mahmoud Khalil after months of inaction to his virulent antisemitism. Let us thank Representative Hernandez for speaking out and reminding Democratic leaders that the fight against antisemitism and pro-terror violence must be bipartisan!

Dear Representative Hernandez,
Thank you for speaking out about the Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats’ shameful abandonment of Jewish students and families, and for your support in the fight against antisemitism.
It has been sad and frightening to see many politicians turn against Israel and betray Jewish Americans. Senator Durbin’s constant “all lives mattering” of antisemitism makes it clear the safety and civil rights of Jews are not a priority. As you pointed out, Judiciary Dem’s recent social media post saying, “Free Mahmoud Khalil” after months of silence about antisemitism at home and American hostages being held in Gaza displayed shocking callousness.
We strongly agree with you that, “Calling for violence against Jewish students, supporting terrorists, blocking Jews from entering class, harassing and disrupting their learning, justifying the rape and murder by all means necessary, and shouting from the river sea is NOT peaceful. It is straight-up antisemitism and thug-like violence. That behavior would not be tolerated or accepted against any other minority group.” Double standards are discriminatory, and Jewish voters will not accept them.
Contrary to what Senator Schumer told Columbia in November, campus antisemitism is NOT, and must not become, a partisan “Republican” issue. It is something that should repulse every American, and Jewish parents and taxpayers are paying attention. Thank you for reminding party leaders that the fight against antisemitism must be bipartisan.
You said, “As the Ranking Democrat on Judiciary in the AZ House of Reps, I’m embarrassed Judiciary Dems are using their page to stand up for a guy whose behavior they claimed had no place in our country last year….I would love to see the same energy calling for the release of innocent Israelis and the stop to antisemitism in America from this page instead of defending a guy who spent the last year leading the illegal encampments that targeted and disrupted the learning of Jewish students and called for violence against them!”
With your moral clarity and courage, you have nothing to be embarrassed about. The Senate Judiciary Dems, on the other hand, should be ashamed. Thank you for speaking up.
Sincerely,
