On April 3, the Senate voted to block $8.8 billion of weapons to Israel, including more than 35,000 one-ton bombs. Only 15 Democratic and independent Senators voted for these resolutions, demonstrating just how out of touch Congress is with the American people, who overwhelmingly want to block weapons to Israel to prevent our complicity in its genocidal violence against Palestinians in Gaza.
Despite our disappointment with this vote, it's extremely important to thank these Senators for voting to block weapons to Israel. They'll be facing a lot of pushback from AIPAC and the billionaire donor class for this vote and they need to hear from voters that they appreciate them voting to block weapons to Israel.

I am appalled that we continue to give weapons to Israel to commit continued atrocities against Palestinians in Gaza. Thank you for standing up for human rights, US and international law, and fundamental human decency by voting to block these weapons from being used to inflict additional genocidal violence by Israel against Palestinians.
I'm so appreciative of the fact that you are representing the will of the vast majority of Americans who want to block additional weapons from going to Israel.
