TN Gov Bill Lee - Stop The Execution of Lee Hall Jr.

TN Gov. Bill Lee

Tennessee has set an execution date of December 5 for Lee (aka Leroy) Hall, Jr, who was convicted in the 1991 murder of Traci Crozier. More information about this case is here.

While the vast majority of states with capital punishment continue on a downward trend of executions, Tennessee has picked up its pace the last year. If the execution of Lee Hall, Jr. is carried out, this will be the state’s 6th execution in less than 15 months, following a ten-year hiatus. Tennessee's execution schedule goes against the national trend as more states are abandoning the death penalty in law or practice, whereas Tennessee is now only 1 of about 8 states that actively uses the death penalty.

Please sign the petition asking Governor Lee to do everything within his power to stop this execution, including issuing a stay, and seeking a path to clemency in the case. We are also asking Governor Lee to respond to the request of 32 Tennessee death row prisoners to visit and pray with them. Learn more about the March4Mercy here.

We are writing to ask that you stop the December 5th execution of Lee Hall, Jr., who was convicted in the 1991 murder of Traci Crozier.

We are concerned that while the vast majority of states with capital punishment continue on a downward trend of executions, Tennessee has picked up its pace in recent years. If the execution of Hall is carried out, this will be the state’s 6th execution in less than 15 months. Tennessee's execution schedule goes against the national trend as more states are abandoning the death penalty in law or practice, whereas Tennessee is now only 1 of about 8 states that actively uses the death penalty.

We, the undersigned, ask that you do everything within your power to stop this execution, including issuing a stay, and seeking a path to clemency in the case. We also add our voices to those of the prisoners on death row and urge you to respond to their request that you visit and pray with them.
