Traffic Calming Measures Needed on Chatcombe Road

Manchester City Council

Local residents and Green Party campaigner Rob Nunney are calling on Manchester City Council to resolve the issue of speeding cars down this narrow, residential road of Wythenshawe. Cars are regularly caught on camera speeding down this otherwise quiet road.

There are many young families who live on this road, and parents are too worried to let their children out to play. Local residents and Rob want to make Chatcombe Road safe for the residential community. This could be achieved by something as simple as installing planters as chicanes. Not only would this force drivers to slow down, but it would brighten up the road and give back residents a sense of pride in where they live.

Let’s take back our roads for our communities, and make where we live a safer, quieter, more social place to live.
