Truly Original: Unfair to workers!

Truly Original LLC

We, the production accountants at Truly Original, are on strike for union recognition and a fair contract. For years now, we have been overworked, underpaid, and severely understaffed in the accounting department, and we've had enough. We want the same wages and working conditions enjoyed by production accountants throughout the motion picture and television industry. And we want to fight back against Truly Original management's unfair labor practices, which include reversing our previously deposited holiday bonuses!

IATSE Local 161 is the union that represents production accountants (and production coordinators, and script & continuity supervisors) and they are helping us fight for a say in our workplace. A majority of production accountants here at Truly Original wish to be represented by the union. IATSE Local 161 sent a letter to Truly Original last week demanding recognition of the union, which will allow us to negotiate a collective bargaining agreement. After a brief exchange, it has been radio-silent from management, so we are ON STRIKE until Truly Original recognizes our union, bargains in good faith, and rectifies the unfair labor practices they have engaged in!

Please sign on to this petition to demand that Truly Original do right by its workers, recognize our union, and end its unfair labor practices!

The production accountants at Truly Original are overworked, underpaid, and severely understaffed. They deserve the same wages and working conditions enjoyed by production accountants throughout the motion picture and television industry.

It is incumbent on you to recognize their request for union recognition and halt your unfair labor practices. We demand that you get on the phone, recognize their chosen representative (IATSE Local 161) immediately to begin bargaining a fair contract, and reverse your unfair practices. The working conditions of your employees is unacceptable, and we demand that you remedy this situation by bargaining in good faith.
