New Hampshire has a chance this legislative session to be one of the first states to ask Congress to pass the Fix It America Constitutional Amendment. This simple, bi-partisan Amendment captures the underlying principles of fairness that a vast majority of Americans believe should undergird our democratic system.

Things are moving quickly in the state legislature, and we need your help to get legislators on board. If you live in New Hampshire, please sign the petition and urge the New Hampshire Legislature to support the resolution. .

HB 1524 calls for the 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. It states:

"Section I. Congress and State Legislatures shall regulate the role of money in elections and governance to ensure transparency, prevent corruption, and protect against the buying of access to or influence over representatives. No such regulation shall be deemed in violation of freedom of speech rights in the Constitution of the United States or its Amendments.

Section II. Legislative districts or districting plans shall not intentionally or unduly favor or disfavor any political party. Within twelve months of ratification, all federal and state district lines shall be redrawn to conform hereto."

Help Legislators Solve the Problem. Both sides of the aisle have been searching for something tangible to address money in politics and redistricting. In this session, they have an opportunity to do just that.

We believe that a lion’s share of our representatives went into public service to make a difference and to improve the lives of the people they represent. This Amendment is a tangible way for those legislators to change the system in order to facilitate those original goals.
