We can stop Trumpcare in the Senate!

All U.S. Senators

The Congressional Budget Office just released its estimates on the impact of the Senate's Trumpcare proposal. These numbers are terrifying.

The CBO estimates that Trumpcare would raid $772 billion from Medicaid, destroying the program as we know it. It would also cause 22 million people to lose health insurance in the next decade.

Senators Shelley Moore Capito (WV), Bill Cassidy (LA), Susan Collins (ME), Dean Heller (NV), Lisa Murkowski (AK), and Rob Portman (OH) have objections to the bill. We can stop this in the Senate!

Trumpcare―known in the Senate as the Better Care Reconciliation Act―will make devastating cuts to Medicaid that disproportionately hurt older Americans. It would create caps on how much Medicaid can pay per person, eliminate subsidies for out-of-pocket expenses such as co-payments and deductibles, allow insurance companies to charge older Americans five times as much as younger people, and make nursing home care unaffordable.

I urge you to vote against the Better Care Reconciliation Act and protect the health care of the 22 million people who would lose insurance in the next decade, as well as millions more who would face much higher premiums and deductibles.
