The United States spends more than twice as much per person on health care compared to other countries, and yet tens of millions of people still cannot get the care they need. At the same time, corporations in the hospital, pharmaceutical, and insurance industries continue to make billions of dollars in profits while costs increase unchecked.

Healthcare coverage should no longer be based on employment or controlled by the inefficient and restrictive profit motives of private insurance companies.

A single-payer, Medicare for All system is the solution that can meet the scale of the crisis we face and guarantee comprehensive, high-quality care for all at a lower cost than what we currently pay.

We, constituents of Pennsylvania's 3rd, 4th & 5th Congressional Districts, call on Representatives Dean, Evans and Scanlon to immediately cosponsor H.R. 1976, the Medicare for All Act of 2021.

Additionally, we demand that Representatives Dean, Evans and Scanlon stop taking donations from the private health insurance industry. The private health insurance industry provides no healthcare services, they only extract money from our communities and restrict access to care. Taking these donations represents an acceptance of our current system, which fails Pennsylvanians everyday.
