It’s time to make the wealthiest of us pay the taxes they owe so we can invest in the common goods that hard-working people need!
US Congress
All of us work hard, day-in and day-out, to take care of ourselves and our families, but many of us are struggling to make ends meet while the ultra-rich get richer and richer.
We tax work too much and wealth too little. At the federal level, billionaires barely pay any taxes at all and corporations escape paying tax rates that are already too low by hiding their profits abroad. Meanwhile, taxes on working people are too high.
In Pennsylvania, working families pay among the highest state and local tax rates in the country—but the state’s ultra-rich pay less than half those rates. And greedy multinational corporations pay no corporate taxes at all in Pennsylvania.
When greedy corporations pay little or nothing, we pay for the benefits those companies receive from the government.
Because wealthy corporations and the ultra-rich don’t pay what they owe, we don’t have the resources to give everyone the opportunity to benefit from their hard work and contribute to their communities. We can’t provide everyone a good K–12 education or the chance for worker training or a college education. We can’t make our communities safe. And we can’t make health care, child care, and senior care affordable.
So, join our campaign to seek tax justice in the United States.

We the undersigned demand tax justice in Pennsylvania and the country as a whole.
We Pennsylvanians work hard, day-in and day-out, to take care of our families, but many of us are struggling to make ends meet while the ultra-rich accumulate even more wealth.
Our federal, state, and local taxes make our lives harder rather than easier. We are tired of paying the highest state and local tax rates in the country, while the ultra-rich pay less than half our rate. We are tired of picking up the tab for multinational companies that don't pay corporate taxes in Pennsylvania.
We are fed up with billionaires who barely pay any federal taxes at all and greedy corporations that escape taxation by hiding their profits abroad.
Because the ultra-rich and wealthy corporations don’t pay what they owe, we don’t have the resources to give all our kids a good K–12 education or the opportunity for worker training or a college education. We can’t make our communities safe. And we can’t make health care, child care, and senior care affordable.
We call on the Pennsylvania General Assembly to pass tax fairness legislation like the Fair Share Tax plan. And we call on the U.S. Congress to enact new taxes on billionaires who pay almost nothing.
We need tax justice so we can build a state and country in which we all can thrive.
